Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama and the Quran 4:75, 5:54, 5:82, 10:49

When reflecting on Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama, the following interpretations of Quran come to mind…
“And why should you not civilly disobey or become politically engaged in the cause of God and for those who lack governing power and are discriminated against or are underrepresented? Men, women, and children whose chant is, ‘Our Lord, cause us to emerge from this place whose people are obstructionist, and raise for us, from You, one who will represent, and raise for us, from You, one who will make progress.’ ” 4:75
“… And in devotion alongside those believers will you find those who say, ‘We are Christians,’ because among these are scholars, and those who live the Gospel, and who show restraint.” 5:82
“O you who believe, if any among you turn back from his faith, soon will God produce a people who He will love, as they will love Him. A people gentle with the faithful, firm against the opposition, striving in the way of God, and never fearing the bigot’s criticism. That is the grace of God which He will bestow on whom He pleases, God encompasses all, and He knows all things.” 5:54
“Say, ‘I have no power over any harm or profit even to myself, except as God wills. To every people is a term appointed. When their term is reached, not an hour can they delay it or advance it.’ ” 10:49
Democracy (Biblical), Book of Genesis 1 and 2, Sura 10:3
America has always used scripture to inspire and guide our nation. And each time a new nation or a renewed nation springs up, scripture, from the Book of Genesis to the Quran, is there to inspire them to become fledgling democracies.
Quran 10:3
Indeed your Lord is God, Who created the heavens (heavenly and lofty ideals) and the earth (the earthly realities which challenge these ideals) in six days (see comments on Genesis 1), and is firmly established on the throne (and has sovereign power), regulating and governing all things (regulating and governing through citizens and the angels of social and organizational dynamic which are out of people’s control). No intercessor can plead with Him, except after He gives permission. This is God your Lord, therefore serve Him. Will you not remember this?
The Book of Genesis 1:1-31
1 In the beginning (This phrase “In the beginning” can relate to many things including the beginning of a democratic nation) God created (From the perspective of God, once He creates or decrees a matter it is in reality already done, but from our perspective evolves. So God completed creates through the process pioneered by leaders and their constituent) the heavens (a nations’ heavenly ideals) and the earth (The grounded structure, the nation) needed to contend with the earthly realities that would challenge those heavenly ideals).
2 Now (In the beginning) the earth was formless (the nation was without structure) and void (acceptance of these ideals were not yet legally binding), darkness (anguish) was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon surface (Was seen on the outside, but perhaps some of these founders did not have the Spirit of God deep within them) of the waters (The sweat and tears of water from the convictions and emotions behind the positions of a nations leaders).
3 And God said, “Let there be light (power),” and there was light (powers of governance). 4 God saw that the light (Capability) was good, and He separated the light from the darkness (God inspired the separation of powers to help separate power from tyranny). 5 God called the light “day,” (references to the word “day” in scripture can also represent power) and the darkness (tyranny, oppression) He called “night” (references to the word “night” can refer to tyranny and oppression). And there was evening (there was still risk of power corrupting), and there was morning (and there was the shining of light on the corruption)—the first day (the first phase).
6 And God said, “Let there be a vault (A more rigid, stark, distinction within the parties with the larger overarching representative democracy) between the waters (Between the sweat and tears of water from the convictions and emotions behind the positions within the representative democracy) to separate water from water (Good emotion from ignorant emotions).” 7 So God made the vault (A more rigid, stark, distinction within the parties with the larger overarching representative democracy) and separated the water under the vault (Watered down baseless ideology) from the water above it (A high thinking, upward, progressive agenda). And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky” (Where we see the word sky in scripture we can associate it with government or leadership). And there was evening (there was still risk of power corrupting), and there was morning (and there was the shining of light on the corruption)—the second day (the second phase).
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky (Ideologues) be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear (Reason with just enough water or emotions to be productive).” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” (Where we see the word “land in scripture we can associate it reason) and the gathered waters He called “seas” (When we see the word “seas” we can associate it with convictions rooted in ideology and the waters of emotions as opposed to reason). And God saw that it was good (It is good to have stark differences among the representatives because it gives us clear choices).
11 Then God said, “Let the land (The people of reason) produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds” (Let them produce policies which in turn produces initiatives that everyone can feed from). And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds (The people of reason, produced policies which in turn produces initiatives that everyone can feed from). And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening (there was still risk of power corrupting), and there was morning (and there was the shining of light on the corruption)—the third day (the third phase).
14 And God said, “Let there be lights (Political hot button topics) in the vault (The larger overarching representative democracy) of the sky to separate the day from the night (To separate power from oppression), and let them serve as signs (And indicator that change needs to occur) to mark sacred times (the election cycles, representing a most sacred right of citizens), and days and years, 15 and let them be lights (Political hot button topics) in the vault (in the larger overarching representative democracy) of the sky (of leadership) to give light (Power) on the earth (to the government of the people, by the people, for the people).” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights (the media and public opinion)—the greater light to govern the day (the power) and the lesser light to govern the night (the corruption that comes after power). He also made the stars (Political analysts/ political pundits and the political watchdogs/activist). 17 God set them in the vault of the sky (An integral part in the national conversation) to give light (Power) on the earth (to the people), 18 to govern (to help manage, and to keep honest) the day and the night (the power and the possibility for corruption), and to separate light from darkness (and to separate the power and the possibility for corruption). And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening (there was still risk of power corrupting), and there was morning (and there was the shining of light on the corruption)—the fourth day (the fourth phase).
20 And God said, “Let the water (The sweat and tears of water from the convictions and emotions behind the positions) teem with living creatures (be full of lively debate, and compelling arguments), and let birds fly above the earth (and the best ideas rise above on reasonable merits) across the vault of the sky (The over-arching principles of democracy which can go over the head of leadership).” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea (the strange hallmark issues of ideology full of the waters of emotion but void of the earthly realities) and every living thing (every lovely debate) with which the water teems (with which the ideologues full of sentiments and emotions) and that moves about in it, according to their kinds (Appeal to their base), and every winged bird according to its kind (and every high thinking exceptional leader who can appeal to a wide spectrum of voters). And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water (emotions) in the seas (empty ideologies), and let the birds (and let high, progressive thinking) increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening (there was still risk of power corrupting), and there was morning (and there was the shining of light on the corruption)—the fifth day (the fifth phase).
24 And God said, “Let the land (Let people of reason) produce living creatures (produce lively discussion, and compelling arguments) according to their kinds (That like-minded individuals, regardless of political affiliation can agree with and support): the livestock ( The leaders and their constituents who are full of riches and resources), the creatures that move along the ground (The leaders and their constituents of humble means but grounded and settled), and the wild animals” (The leaders and their constituents who wander in the metaphorical wilderness, living off others). And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good (Even the wild animals are good because they keep the rest of us vigilant and avoiding stagnation).
26 Then God said, “Let us make Humanity in Our image (Reflecting the values, purpose and concerns we see in God), in our likeness, so that they may rule over (help manage the affairs that we as individuals cannot better manage alone) the fish (those who are reactive, not proactive and who respond to things) in the sea (based on only their emotions) and the birds in the sky (those who have high principle, great perspective, and are highly successful), over the livestock (Constituents who are full of riches and resources) and all the wild animals (constituents who wander in the metaphorical wilderness of America living off others), and over all the creatures that move along the ground” (constituents of humble means but grounded and settled).
27 So God created mankind in his own image (Reflecting the values, purpose and concerns we see in God),
in the image of God He created them;
male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number (Be productive, grow in numbers and mobilize); fill the earth (the Nation) and subdue it (and manage it). Rule over (help manage the affairs that we as individuals cannot better manage alone) the fish in the sea (Those who are reactive, not proactive, and who respond to things based on their emotions) and the birds in the sky (those who have high principle, great perspective, and are highly successful) and over every living creature that moves on the ground (Those of humble means but grounded and settled
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant (every productive policy necessary for our people to thrive as well as the people of others nations) on the face of the whole earth (Home grown and learned from other nations, by way of immigration and multinational cooperation) and every tree that has fruit with seed in it (every productive policy necessary to sustain our people and others’ people). They will be yours for food (Our nation will be able to partake of it and thrive from it). 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food (Every new, progressive, policy of Democracy from a world filled with democracies will feed the governments of all the world’s people and we all will flourish together). And it was so.
31 God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day (the sixth phase).
Genesis 2
1Thus the heavens and the earth (the heavenly, lofty, societal norms and ideals, rights and duties associated with democracy) were completed in all their vast array (were established with ample room for diverse expression).
2 By the seventh day (by the seventh phase) God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work. (In every phase God is rest assured and confident in our abilities as a democratic nation, and in the seventh stage, the reasons for His being rested assured and confident in us is made evident). 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy (This is the phase of holiness, morality, and ethics. The phase of a truly mature democracy) because on it He rested (God was rest assured and confident) from all the work of creating that he had done.
New Year (Solar), 10:5
“It is He Who made the Sun to be a shining light, and the Moon to be
a reflected
light, and measured out stages for it, that you might know the number of years by counting. Allah did not create this except in truth and righteousness. He explains His signs in detail, for those who understand.” 10:5
“The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve, ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth. Of them four are sacred. That is the upright religion. Thus do not wrong yourselves, and fight the pagans together as they fight you together, but know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.” 9:36
